It's been a long while.......

Since I last entered a post here.  Between recovering from my knee surgery and getting my strength back to go back to work it's was a job in it's self.  Well I did make it back to work for almost 2 whole months. Then ............my gallbladder decided it was time to come out. This took place 2 and a half weeks ago. Now I'm recovering again only to have my left knee replaced at the end of this month.  No rest for the weary.  I do have a couple of projects that I managed to complete that I will post soon.  In the meantime happy crafting to all.

A New Knee!

No paper crafting going on here.  I'm one week out of my total knee replacement.  Lot of exercising happening along with nurse visits.  I'm feeling better each day and soon I hope to be able to start crafting again.  It's not easy to do when you are getting around with a walker. It's amazing how you can have a new knee and it feels like it's been there the whole time.......outside of course of the normal pain you would have with the surgery and recovery.  So 1 down and 1 more to go.  That I'm hoping will happen at the end of summer.

Happy Birthday Card

Made a card for my Son in Laws' Birthday.  The color is a little off took this picture with my phone. I guess that is not too good of an idea.  Again I used files from SVGCuts.com.  This is one of their Breezy Backyard Lever Cards called Cool Fan Card.
I used DCWV Mariposa cardstack with plain card stock to make this card using my Silhouette Cameo.

Now off to make a couple of more cards!

Made this card for my husbands birthday from SVGCuts.com files and Silhouette files. The card and Happy Birthday are from SVGCuts and the grass, frog and cattails are from Silhouette America.  Needed something for a man and that is why I used the frog etc, instead of the flower that comes with the card file.  Having fun making cards from files for a change.

Baby Shower Card

My niece's baby shower was over the weekend and I made a card for her.  The cards is a lever design I bought from SVGCuts.com.   They have so many nice projects on their site and they are so helpful in how they present them and even do videos with how to put their projects together. I had so much fun with this I hope to be able to spend more time crafting and scrapping.

Missing in Action

Wow, I've been busy and it's not from crafting. I've been missing out on my favorite past time. One good thing I did get a Silhouette Cameo and I'm in love. Have not made too much with it yet, but as I do I will share and hopefully see some improvement in my work. I think I'll start by sharing a box that I made for one of my cousins Christmas gifts shown here on the right.  She is a big Harry Potter fan.  The box is made from a SVGcuts file and I used some Silhouette print n cut files.   Love the print n cut.  Will be working more with them in the near future hopefully.
